It’s a “Can I Be” Sunday.
LORD HELP US TO GROW IN OUR FAITH WALK AS WE WORSHIP YOU IN THE FELLOWSHIP OF OTHER BELIEVERS. AMEN.
Yesterday, I was talking to a friend and he asked me, “Can I be a Christian and not go to church?” Or, ” Can I be a Muslim and not go to the Mosque?” After some thought this is the answer I gave
him. “Yes, you can be a Christian and not go to church and you can be a Muslim and not go to the Mosque. It is possible but it’s like being:
A student who doesn’t go to school.
A soldier who will not join the army.
A citizen who will not pay taxes or vote.
An explorer with no base camp.
A seaman on a ship without a crew.
A business man on a deserted island.
An author without readers.
A tuba player without an orchestra.
A parent without a family.
A football player without a team.
A politician without an office.
A scientist who does not share his discoveries.
A bee without a hive.
You see it’s the fellowship with others that helps us learn and grow in our faith.
So I can’t speak for you but I’m on my way to church! What you doing today?
