It’s a “See The Light” Sunday.
LORD, DURING OUR DARK HOURS PLEASE BE OUR LIGHT THAT LEADS THE WAY. AMEN.
They say that the Apostle Paul’s sweetest epistles were written from prison cells; St. John’s Revelation was written in exile; Bunyan’s Pilgrim’s Progress came from the Bedford jail; Luther’s translation of the German Bible was in Wartburg Castle; Madam Guyon’s sweetest poems and deepest experiences were from long imprisonments; Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr’s famous letter from Birmingham, Alabama wasn’t written from a classroom or a pulpit or an office but from a jail cell. Sometimes doing our darkest hours in life we do our best work and preach our best sermons. For in the darkness, we can see a brighter and better light. If there is darkness in your life today just look for and find the light. For God is still the light of the world. Do you see the light?
