LORD, HELP US TO REALIZE THAT YOU HAVE FASHIONED ALL OF US WITH A SENSE OF GREATNESS. LIKE MANDELA GUIDE US AND SHOW US HOW TO CHANGE THIS WORLD AND MAKE IT A BETTER PLACE. AMEN.
Last year this time we were mourning the death but celebrating the life of Gods anointed one, President Nelson Mandela. Like Jesus he showed us how to live, how to struggle, how to lead, how to make the world a better place but most of all how to love. Nelson Mandela’s unwavering courage, forgiveness and hope touched all of us who watched him live. As Mandela said in his extraordinary 2005 speech in London’s Trafalgar Square, “Like slavery and apartheid, poverty is not natural. It is man-made and it can be overcome and eradicated by the actions of human beings.”
“Sometimes”, Mandela said, “It falls upon every generation to be great. You can be that great generation. Let your greatness blossom.”
My friend, remember you are a child of the King. So do your dance and give God praise for your life. Now go on and be that great human being you were created to be. Be great like Brother Nelson. Yes, you are somebody. You are great! Beloved, are you feeling your greatness?
