It’s a “Trust In God” Tuesday.
LORD, HELP US TO PUT ALL OF OUR TRUST AND FAITH IN YOU NO MATTER WHAT IS GOING ON IN OUR LIVES. AMEN.
The passengers on a train were uneasy as they sped along through the dark, stormy night. The lightning was flashing, black clouds were rolling and the train was traveling fast. The fear and tension among the passengers was evident.
One little fellow, however, sitting all by himself, seemed utterly unaware of the storm or the speed of the train. He was amusing himself with his play station.
One of the passengers spoke to him. “Sonny, I see you are alone on the train. Aren’t you afraid to travel alone on such a stormy night?”
The little boy looked up with a smile and answered, “No ma’am, I ain’t afraid. You see my daddy is the engineer.”
Beloved, trust in yourself, and you are doomed to disappointment; trust in your friends, and they will die and leave you; trust in money, and you may have it taken from you; trust in reputation and some slanderous tongue may blast it; but Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy path. (Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV)
Remember, God is the Engineer on the train of life.” Are you trusting Him?
