FORGIVE YOURSELF

It’s a “Forgive Yourself” Tuesday.

LORD, AS WE LIVE LIFE FROM DAY TO DAY HELP US TO LIVE IN FORGIVENESS OF OURSELVES AS WELL AS OTHERS SO THAT WE MIGHT HAVE A LIFE OF HAPPINESS CENTERED ON GODS PEACE, LOVE AND JOY. AMEN.

A few days ago I talked about how we have to learn to forgive others like we want GOD to forgive us. But as I thought about this issue I realized that many of us struggle with this because we have a hard time forgiving ourselves. All of us have done things we are shameful of and we want forgiveness for, but in order to get over the guilt and shame we must forgive ourselves. The BIBLE says “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of GOD” (Romans 3:23 KJV).  Now that goes for you and me! Many of us can forgive others but have a big problem forgiving ourselves. Beloved if GOD can love you enough to forgive you, then you need to love yourself enough to forgive you. Our ‘HEAVENLY DADDY’ told me to tell you that HE has forgiven you so LET IT GO! Stop thinking about it and LET IT GO! Stop talking about it and LET IT GO! As I told you before, Big MOMMA back in the day sang a song that went like this “I feel better, so much better, since I laid my burdens down”.  LET IT GO MY SISTER!   LET IT GO MY BROTHER!  LET IT GO MY FRIEND!  Now I claim you will have a great day in JESUS NAME because you LET IT GO! Boy, I can’t speak for you but I feel like having a HOLY GHOST PARTY up in here. Slide baby slide!!!  Somebody help calm me down! (LOL) So are you going to forgive yourself? YOU BETTER! GOD COMMANDS IT!
