It’s a “Bible Kind Of Love” Friday.
LORD, WE BLESS YOUR HOLY NAME. TEACH US TO LOVE LIKE YOU UNCONDITIONALLY. AMEN
The Bible says that we must love the LORD OUR GOD with all of our heart, mind, soul and strength and our neighbor as we love ourselves.
First, we must love GOD. Time and time again GOD has proven to us that HE loves us unconditionally. His love is beyond our comprehension. The Bible tells us that GOD IS LOVE and GOD loved us before we were born. GOD so loved you and me, yes HE so loved the world that HE gave HIS only begotten SON and whosoever believes in HIM shall not perish but have everlasting life. So love GOD because HE loved us first. We all remember this song: “JESUS loves me this I know for the Bible tells me so. Yes JESUS loves me. Yes JESUS loves me. Yes JESUS loves me. For the Bible tells me so.”
Second, we must learn to love ourselves. There are too many people in this world who have a problem with loving themselves. Beloved always remember you are GOD’S unique creation. You are special and one of a kind. You are your Momma’s sweet bundle of joy no matter how old you are now. If you don’t love and think highly of yourself nobody else will. Repeat after me: “I am GODS’ child and my Momma’s baby, I am beautiful, I am wonderful, I am powerful, I am intelligent, I am somebody!!!” Yes before you can love others you must first love yourself.
Third, we must have love for others. The Bible says how can we love GOD whom we have never seen and hate one another? Therefore one who loves GOD must also love others. Loving others means to treat them like we want to be treated. Loving others means to forgive them like we want to be forgiven. We should be so positive and sincere with our love for others that we should be able to say, “Lord treat me tomorrow the way I have treated others today!” Now think about it, can you say that everyday? Better yet, is there any day that you can say that?
Beloved, remember GOD has also commanded you to love HIM, yourself and others. So on this day tell GOD you love HIM, tell the people in your life circle you love them but also look in the mirror and tell that marvelous person you see how much you adore and love them. Will you do that for me, now?
