December 11th
It’s an “Only Takes a Minute” Day
LORD, HELP US TO USE THE GIFT OF TIME WISELY REMEMBERING THAT YESTERDAY IS GONE, TOMORROW IS NOT PROMISED AND THIS MINUTE IS ALL WE HAVE. AMEN.
A minute is the time it takes to smile or to give a warm “hello”.
A minute is the time it takes to say, “Well done.”
A minute is the time it takes to sympathize – or avoid calling someone what he “should be called.”
A minute is what it takes to cheer someone or make things better.
A minute is what it takes to fall on our knees to give God praise and thanks for all that He has done for us.
So how much is a minute worth? It’s priceless or worthless – depending on how we use it.
So remember the words of the unknown wise poet who wrote:
“I have only just a minute
Just sixty seconds in it;
Forced upon me – can’t refuse it,
Didn’t seek it, didn’t choose it.
I must suffer if I lose it,
Give account if I abuse it;
Just a tiny little minute
But eternity is in it.”
If you do well with your minutes, the hours and the days will take care of themselves, and you will find that you have productive years. Beloved, what are you doing with your minute?
