It’s an “Enjoy Your Day”, Day
LORD, WE GIVE YOU THANKS FOR OUR DAYS AND OUR CELEBRATIONS. AMEN.
I remember one day having a great and very positive day because I had the pleasure of attending two joyous occasions. The first was the 97th Birthday celebration of a young lady who helped to raise me and is our oldest living and active Past Worthy Matron of my Eastern Star Chapter. She is a sweet and kind lady who also serves as a deaconess in her church. She is fairest among thousands and is altogether lovely. Her children call her blessed for it is a blessing to be in her presence. Yes, we gave her some flowers while she can see them and smell them. She is now 99 years old. Somebody ought to say AMEN!
The second occasion was the 50th Wedding Anniversary of two dear friends who also are a part of my Christian and Masonic Family. They are a very loving and beautiful couple who are committed to each other, the community, the Church and to Almighty God. They are truly blessed to be married so long. Some of us can’t get past 50 days or months much less 50 years.
Yes, that day was a nice day and a good day, but there was a bit of sadness because there was the home going service of one my Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Brothers. May his soul rest in peace in that land where the streets are purple and gold.
Beloved each day that we have on this earth is a blessing from God. Be happy, be blessed because tomorrow is not promised and today is all you have. So how are you going to enjoy your day today?
