It’s “In the Blood” Day
LORD, WE GIVE YOU PRAISE AND HONOR FOR THE BLOOD YOU GAVE ON CALVARY’S CROSS TO SET US FREE. AMEN.
The story is told of a young man who was being examined for membership in a local church. The deacon said to him, “Has Christ made a difference in your life?”
He replied that He certainly had. Trying to draw more out of him, the deacon asked, “Well, then do you sin anymore?” The young man admitted that he did.
Then the deacon responded by saying, “Well, if you sinned before you were a Christian and you sin since you became a Christian, how has Christ made a difference in your life?”
The young man thought for a moment and said with much conviction, “Sir, I think of it like this: before I was a Christian, I ran after sin. Now that I am a Christian I run from sin though every now and then I’m still overtaken by it, but because of the blood of Jesus. You see it’s in the blood. I am found faultless, and I’m free. It’s in the Blood.” If you agree, say: “Amen Preacher, It’s in the Blood!”
