12 WISE SAYINGS ABOUT SILENCE

September 25th

It’s a “12 Wise Sayings About Silence” Day

LORD, HELP US TO CONTROL OUR ACTIONS AS WELL AS OUR TONGUES. AMEN.

Here are some wise sayings about silence, that we all need to learn and live by:

  1. A wise man is one who thinks twice before saying nothing.
  2. It often shows a fine command of language to say nothing.
  3. Blessed are they who have nothing to say and who cannot be persuaded to say it.
  4. At times, it is better to keep your mouth shut and let people wonder if you’re a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.
  5. One reason the dog has so many friends: he wags his tail instead of his tongue.
  6. Nothing preaches better than the ant, and she says nothing.
  7. I have never been hurt by anything I didn’t say.
  8. Smart people speak from experience – smarter people from experience, don’t speak.
  9. Stop air pollution – keep your mouth shut.
  10. When it pays better to talk than listen, change your company.
  11. Sometimes silence speaks louder than words.
  12. It takes a baby approximately two years to learn to talk and between 60 to 70 years to learn to keep his mouth shut.

Boy, if that’s not the truth, then nothing is. Can this preacher get an Amen?  Amen, lights and walls, laptops and smartphones.
