It’s a “Time to Laugh” Day
LORD, LIFE IS SO FULL OF PAIN. PLEASE HELP US TO FIND JOY AND HAPPINESS IN EACH DAY THAT YOU HAVE GIVEN US TO LIVE. AMEN.
One day in Sunday school, the children were given a lesson about Adam and Eve. They were told the story, and the following scripture was read: “And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living. Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them. And the Lord God said, Behold, the man, is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever: Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. “So he drove out the man”; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.” (Genesis 3:20-24 KJV).
The class was then told by the teacher to draw a picture about the biblical lesson they had learned. She then went around seeing what kind of picture they had drawn. She noticed that little Ricky hadn’t drawn a Bible picture at all, so she asked him to tell the class about his picture.
“This is a car. The man in the front seat is God. The people in the back seat are Adam and Eve. God is driving them out of the garden of Eden.” LOL
On another occasion when the teacher let the children draw the Bible story they had heard, one little boy drew the picture of an airplane with a pilot in the front seat. The passengers were a man, a woman, and a baby. When asked to tell about his picture, he said: “This is Pontius the pilot taking Mary and Joseph and Baby Jesus on a flight out of Egypt.” LOL. Laughter is good for the soul. PS: You have to read your Bible to know the stories. You do read the Bible, don’t you?
