TELL A JOKE

July 16th

It’s a “Tell A Good Joke” Day.

LORD, HELP US AND BLESS US TO HAVE MORE TIMES WHEN WE LAUGH THAN WHEN WE CRY. AMEN.

Laughter is good for the soul. In fact, my grand momma told me that laughter is medicine for the soul. So here is a joke to give you laughter and joy early this morning:

The story is told of four preachers who had been friends for a long time but didn’t know a lot about each other. They decided to go fishing one day, and while they were out on the boat, one of the preachers said, “Our members come to us and pour out their hearts and confess their sins and their short comings. Since confession is good for the soul, let us confess our sins to each other.” So they all agreed. The first preacher confessed that he likes to go to the casino and gamble. The second preacher confessed that he likes to smoke a cigar and drink whiskey. The third preacher confessed that he likes playing cards and going to the club. Now, when it came time for the fourth preacher to confess, he just sat there not saying a word. The others started pressing him and pressing him. They said, “Come on now brother we confessed our sins. Tell us what is your secret? What is your sin? What is your vice?” So after all that pressure he finally confessed, and this is what he said: “My sin is gossiping and telling other people’s business. Lord knows that I can’t wait to get off this boat and tell somebody what y’all said. In fact, I’m going to tell everybody.” LOL.

“Remember we never stop laughing because we are old. We grow old because we stop laughing!”
