It’s a “Support Your Pastor” Day
LORD, WE THANK YOU, AND WE PRAY FOR THOSE WHOM YOU HAVE CALLED TO LEAD AND GUIDE US IN THE WAYS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS. HELP US TO ALWAYS BE A SUPPORT TO THEM, WITH THEM AND FOR THEM. AMEN.
Who is your pastor’s pastor? Who rushes to your pastor’s side when the load is heavier than he/she can bear? Is there not something within all of us, which cries out for human sympathy and understanding? Is your pastor an exception merely because he/she is your pastor?
Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on earth, turned aside to talk with the Father and spent long hours with Him. The Father, who meets His servants in the secret places, and never forsakes them. But our Lord also needed John, Peter, James and the others. Therefore, I have made a personal resolution, which by God’s help, I hope not to break. I am determined that my pastor shall know that I love him, and he shall not lack the sympathetic understanding, which I can give. As a member of my church, I shall, in some way, be a shepherd’s friend. And deep in my heart, I do believe that there are many others like me, who will stand at the side of the man or woman, who has no pastor because he or she is the pastor of others. I dare you to show some love and compassion toward your pastor today and every day. So the question of the day is how are you going to show your love?
