It’s a “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” Day.
LORD WE COME TODAY IN FAITH KNOWING THAT YOU WILL PROVIDE ALL THAT WE NEED, ACCORDING TO YOUR RICHES IN GLORY. AMEN!
One night I let the enemy get the best of me because I went to bed worrying about an economic issue going on in my life. I got up in the middle of the night, I prayed, and then I read. This is what I read about worrying.
1) Worry is interest paid on trouble before it is due.
2) Worrying takes up just as much time as work, but work pays better dividends.
3) Our worst misfortunes never happen, and most miseries lie in anticipation.
4) Worry is like a rocking chair, it will give you something to do, but it won’t get you anywhere.
5) Those who live and worry invite death in a hurry.
6) The eagle that soars in the upper air does not worry itself as to how it is to cross rivers.
7) There are two days we should not worry about yesterday and tomorrow.
8) There is a great difference between worry and concern. A worried person sees a problem and the concerned person solves a problem.
9) Worry can cast a big shadow behind a small thing.
Yes, I worried myself to sleep. But I woke up that morning, and the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, “Where is your Faith?”
“Your God is bigger than your problem.”
“Your God can handle any situation.”
“Your God would never leave you nor forsake you.”
“Your God will work it out if you let Him.”
“Your God has all power in His hands.”
“Your God promised never to leave you alone.”
Then my Faith spoke to me and said: “Why should I feel discouraged? Why should the shadows come? Why should my heart feel lonely and long for heaven and home? When Jesus is my portion, my constant friend is He. For His eye is on the Sparrow and I know He watches me.” Then I read in the word of God: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”(Romans 8:28 KJV)
So, Beloved, the message today for you and me is: “Don’t Worry, Be Happy… God is working it out for our good. It is our season to reap what we have sown.” So let us praise Him with that Holy Ghost Slide. Let us praise Him with all of our beings. Let the Spirit of God say so and let the Church say AMEN!
