It’s a “TATOR FAMILY” Day
LORD, I PRAY THAT NONE OF THE TATOR FAMILY GENES ARE IN ME. AMEN
Every church in America has families in them because for the most part our churches are built by families joining or one by one. But there is one family that has a reputation for joining as many churches as possible. The following description will help you to recognize them if they start attending and joining your church.
DICK TATOR~
He’s the daddy who is the self-appointed leader of the church. He feels he must head every church committee. He feels more important than he really is. He just dictates and never works.
EMMY TATOR~
She’s the mother who never has any thoughts of her own. She just imitates and always seconds someone else’s motion. She is active in all phases of church life by imitating her closest friends.
HEZY TATOR~
He’s the oldest son and goes to college. When he’s asked to do something he just hesitates. He feels he isn’t qualified for any job. He just feels he’s just too busy with other things to work for The Lord.
CARMEN TATOR~
Carmen is the daughter who sits in the back row of Sunday school, church and meetings commenting on everything and everybody. She is in everybody else’s business, and if gossip had a degree, she would have a Ph.D.
SPECK TATOR~
He’s in high school. When he is asked to take part in programs or various ministries SPECK says No because he is a lazy, spoiled momma’s boy who will tell you in a minute all he does is spectate.
AGI TATOR~
This is the oldest member of the TATOR family. She’s been a Christian for forty years, so she claims. She doesn’t believe that the church should make any changes like adding or subtracting a hymn from the morning service. She is the one that just agitates others and keeps things stirred up. I’m fact she is the one who usually gives Satan a ride to church. They are the best of friends that’s why she is always raising hell in the church. (Hello Somebody)
SWEET TATOR~
This is the only cordial and cooperative member of the TATOR family. She is an ideal church member. She worships The Lord in her own way and never criticizes somebody else’s style of worship. She takes part in and supports the whole church program. She is generous with her time, tithes and talents. She is involved in every ministry that her time will allow. She loves it, and it shows. She greets everyone with a smile and a positive word. To know her is to love her because she never Dictates, Hesitates, Commentates or Agitates.
So have you seen any of them TATORS around your church? I only ask because we have a few of them at my church, and they are a trip and a half. AMEN.
