It’s an “I’ve Seen Heaven” Day
LORD, HELP US TO HELP SOMEBODY AS WE PASS ALONG SO WE CAN SEE A LITTLE BIT OF HEAVEN HERE ON EARTH. AMEN.
The story is told that one day a certain pastor preached on Heaven. The next morning he was met by one of his wealthy members, who said: “Pastor, you preached a good sermon about Heaven yesterday. You told us all about Heaven, but you did not tell us where Heaven is.”
“Ah,” said the pastor, “I’m glad to have the opportunity to tell you where it is now. I have just come from down the street. In the housing projects, there is a member of our church who is extremely poor; she is sick and in bed with a fever. If you will go and take her a good supply of food and say ‘My sister, I have brought these groceries in the Name of our Lord and Savior,’ if you ask for a Bible and read Psalm 23, and then get down on your knees and pray, my friend if you don’t see Heaven before you get through with that prayer, I’ll pay that grocery bill.”
The next morning when the wealthy man saw his pastor, he said: “Pastor, I saw Heaven, and I spent 15 minutes in Heaven, as certainly as you are listening to Heaven.” What have you done to see Heaven?
