LORD, HELP US TO HELP SOMEBODY AS WE PASS ALONG. AMEN
Will anybody be happier because you passed his or her way today?
Will anyone remember that you spoke to him or her today?
When this day is almost over and it’s toiling time is through;
Will there be anyone to utter a friendly word about you?
Will you say tonight in passing with the day that slipped so fast,
That you helped a single person, of the many that you passed?
Will your single heart rejoice over what you did or said?
Is there one whose hopes were fading now with courage look ahead?
Will you waste the day or lose it? Will it be well or poorly spent?
Will you leave a trail of kindness or a scar of discontent?
Tonight will you be able to stand with conviction and say:
“Lord treat me tomorrow, the way I treated others today!”
