THE SHIP OF LIFE

January 2nd

It’s “The Ship of Life” Day

LORD, YOU HAVE GIVEN EACH OF US THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE CAPTAINS OF OUR LIVES. IN THIS NEW YEAR BLESS US AND GUIDE US TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT AND PLEASING IN THY SIGHT. AMEN.

God built and launched this New Year for you,

Upon the bridge of this ship you stand;

It’s your ship, your blessed ship,

And you are in command.

Just what the twelve-month trip will do

Rest wholly, solely, my brother and sister with you,

You must keep your logbook from day-to-day

That logbook will tell, like a guiding star

What kind of captain of the ship you are.

For better or worse, this year is yours;

This ship is your ship on your life’s sea,

As the Captain, you must decide whatever it will be.

So now as you start your faithful voyage may the God of peace and love go with you.

I ask God to help you sail your ship called Life. Yes, sail it with:

New Life

New Beginnings

New Skills

New Journeys

New Commitments

New Determination

New Blessings

New Opportunities

New Finances

New Grace

New Mercies

New Faith

New Hope

New Love

New Peace

New Kindness

New Patience

New Relationships

New Friendships

New Joy

New Successes

New Happiness

New Dreams That Come True.

This is what I pray for you in this New Year.

So Captain, are you ready to sail on and take the journey?
