It’s a “Worship Our God” Sunday.
O GOD WE WORSHIP YOU WITH OUR TOTAL BEING. WE LOVE YOU WITH ALL OF HEART, MIND AND SOUL. WE JUST WANT TO THANK YOU. AMEN.
Today is Sunday, July 6 and it’s time to get up and go to church. Now I know some of you are saying: “Rev it’s a holiday weekend and I’m going to stay home.” Even though it’s summer
we still need to go to church, but go for the right reason. You see somebody is going to church today to take a walk. Somebody is going to church today to laugh and talk. Somebody is going to church today to meet a friend. Somebody is going to church today to spend some time. Somebody is going to church today to meet a lover. Somebody is going to church today for a fault to cover. Somebody is going to church today for speculation. Somebody is going to church today for observation. Somebody is going to church today just to doze and nod.
But I believe real Christians are going to church today:
Because going to church will help them prepare for the responsibilities of the week.
Because going to church will rekindle their spiritual fire.
Because going to church affords them the opportunity of expressing their thanks.
Because going to church gives them companionship with other believers.
Because going to church makes their lives witnesses of their faith.
Most of all going to church today we will worship God in Spirit and in Truth. That’s right, worship God. Our God who woke us up this morning. Our God who started us on our way. Our God who gave us His grace and His mercy. So you need to be like James Brown and ‘Get Up, Get On Up’. Yes, get up and get on your way to God’s house. You see, in your Father’s house you will find love, peace and happiness. O Beloved, I don’t know about you but I’m on my way to church to Praise Our Daddy. Can You Dig It?
