FAITH IN THE STORM

It’s a “Faith In The Storm” Thursday.

LORD, WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR PEACE IN THE MIDST OF THE STORM. AMEN.

The story is told of a little boy who was crossing the ocean with his father, who was captain of the ship, when they ran into a storm. The waves tossed the ship about like a cork and everyone was stricken with fear. But the boy sat still, with his eyes directed toward a certain spot. He sat there quite unperturbed as the ship was being dashed about by the waves. Someone asked him if he were not afraid, and he answered:  “I have my eye on that window, and through that window I can see the bridge, and on that bridge is my father. My father is the captain of the ship, and he has taken it through many storms.”

When the storm rages don’t give up. Just ask your Heavenly Father to stand by you. Yes in the storm don’t give up on GOD. He will carry you through the storm. Stay on the boat and realize that your survival is in your anchor. “Though the storms of life keep raging in my life. And sometimes it’s hard to tell the night from the day. Still the hope that lies within gives me assurance as I keep my eyes upon the distant storm. I realize that sometimes in this life we’re gonna be tossed by the wind and the waves but in the arms of GOD I have an anchor that keeps me steadfast and unmovable in spite of the tide. But if the storms don’t cease and if the winds keep on blowing my soul’s been anchored in the LORD!”
