It’s a “Dream Of Heaven” Tuesday.
LORD, GUIDE US AND HELP US TO GET OUR OWN HOUSE IN ORDER SO THAT WE MIGHT FIND REST AND PEACE IN YOUR KINGDOM IN HEAVEN. AMEN
When the poet C. R. Hebrew wrote the following poem he was talking about Me and You. It is entitled:
“I Dreamed Of Heaven”
“I dreamed death came the other night:
And heaven’s gates swung wide.
With kindly grace an Angel
Ushered me inside.
And there, to my astonishment,
Stood folks I had known on earth.
Some I’d judged and labeled
Unfit or of little worth.
Indignant words rose to my lips,
But never were set free;
For every face showed stunned surprise…
No one expected me!”
Yes my friends, when we all get to heaven we are going to get three surprises:
First, we are going to be surprised to find ourselves there.
Second, we are going to be surprised to find a lot of folks we sent to hell are going to be right there with us.
Third, we are going to be surprised to find a lot of folks we thought were going to be in heaven won’t be but will be in hell. Remember none of us has a heaven or hell to send anybody. We need to mind our own business, get our own affairs in order and make sure we find ourselves in Heaven! Somebody reading this needs to give the preacher an Amen this morning! How about you?
