It’s a “Last Days and Times” Day
LORD, HELP TO LIVE AS YOUR PEOPLE, BY DOING WHAT IS RIGHT AND STAYING AWAY FROM EVIL. AMEN.
One Sunday, I was in church and my co-worker in the ministry, Rev. Dr. Dexter Davis preached a sermon entitled “We Are Living in the Last Days and Times.”
His scriptural text was 2 Timothy 3:1-5.
“But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.” (2 Timothy 3:1-5 NIV)
When we look at the news, I’m convinced that we are truly living in the last days and times. Paul tells Timothy to stay away from those people who are living evil lives. Remember the words of this scripture and not only separate yourself from them but don’t be one of them. If we ever needed God, we need Him now. It’s coming to a point that we are either on God’s side or the side of Satan. So I ask you today, whose side are you on?
