It’s a “Start Your Day With Jesus” Sunday.
LORD, WE RISE THIS MORNING WITH DEVOTIONAL PRAYER, BIBLE READING AND PRAISE SO THAT YOU WILL WALK WITH US ALL DAY LONG. AMEN.
We had some pretty nice weather over the past few days and people are beginning to dress like Spring is beginning. I have learned that life is like the weather we have good days and stormy days, our ups and our downs. We have days when we jump up out of bed to face the world and then there are days when we just want to sleep the day away. But no matter what the weather is or how we are feeling there are three things we must do every day as soon as we wake up.
First, we need to pray. Pray to give GOD thanks for another day and to ask for direction and protection throughout the day.
The second thing we need to do is read a part of the Bible, any scripture that the HOLY SPIRIT leads you too. This allows GOD to speak to you.
Finally, we need to give GOD some praise. Sing your song or do your dance. Just give Him some early morning praise and devotion.
You can begin doing these things before you even get out of bed if you want. I have found that a good devotional exercise helps me spiritually, mentally and physically all day long. So set your alarm each morning to give you enough time to start the day with JESUS. Give yourself and GOD at least 15 minutes together. If you do this you find that He will turn all of your tough days into smooth days and it will allow you to rejoice in the mist of the storm because you know He has your back. You will find out that Big Momma was right when she said like the song writer “The Lord will make a way somehow” and “Just a little talk with JESUS makes it right.” So my friend say your prayer, read your Bible and give HIM your praise every morning and you will see that your experience with GOD in the morning will help you all day long to be happy in JESUS. Think about it and try it. How often do you start your day off with JESUS?
